Universal Studios Japan unveils the Super Nintendo World
We all wanted to live in a video game at one time or another, and soon we will continue not to do it, but we will get the following best thing when Super Nintendo World will open in February. Well, we will not do it. It seems that Japan always gets the first dibs on the coolest things. Universal Studios Japan has just published a first glimpse of Super Nintendo World with a little teaser.
This is mainly like a theme park built in a Mario game, but it also gives a kind of magic. The CGI shows us classic enemies from Mario as Goombas walking and running pieces. We also see a CGI look at Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge, which seems to be an area of the Bowser Castle. The only real images we see are those of the attraction Mario Kart. Each kart can accommodate up to four people and looks like a model of buffoon cars. We do not really know what the Mario Kart attraction will be. The description says “_based on an internal research of facilities featuring the world of Mario Kart, the original attractions of the theme park and the games”, and I have no idea what it means.
Teaser’s eagle spectators will be able to see an attraction Yoshi’s Adventure and a Pow factory, but we do not know what it would be, if the park’s CGI rendering is true to what visitors will really see. Obviously, Nintendo would probably like to call it Super Mario World, but was content with Super Nintendo World. For the moment, we really do not see Mario’s attractions, but if it’s called Super Nintendo World, it opens the door to Nintendo to add other areas or attractions for other Nintendo properties like The Legend of Zelda or Donkey Kong. It would be a wonderful treat! Super Nintendo World opens February 4, 2021.
